Afterward, Luz is able to live with her friends and family in both the Human and Demon Realms, after the Collector creates a new, permanent portal door for her. In the series' final scene, when Luz turns 18, everybody throws a "King-ceañera" party for her, to make up for her using her previous three birthdays to help rebuild the Boiling Isles. She also learns that, while her original glyph magic died with the Titan, the growing King has developed new glyphs for her to learn.
The Golden Guard
Lilith describes Hunter as a brat who is well renowned within the Emperor's Coven and would always receive special treatment for being a "genius teen prodigy",[10] though it's possible that Lilith exaggerated this out of jealousy. Four years later, Hunter has become an accomplished palisman carver and bonded to a new palisman, a blue jay named Waffle. He remains close to his friends and commemorates Flapjack, whom he builds a memorial for. He gives them motivation to kill the Selkidomus by telling them that Luz will have to remain a sailor to pay for all the money they lost, while Eda will be arrested for attacking one of the Emperor's ships. The killing of the Selkidomus is under orders of the Emperor, despite the fact that it is a peaceful creature. He again tells them to go and slay the beast, or he will drown King in the boiling sea.
Gus Porter
To make matters worse, a dragon attacks, causing the ship to crash-land near Latissa. While showing the nine Coven Heads a vision of the Day of Unity, a coughing fit overtakes Emperor Belos, and the Golden Guard escorts the Emperor back to his throne room. Kikimora attempts to follow, but the Golden Guard assures her that he can handle it alone.
Coven
However, when Amity is exposed of cheating on Lilith's part, she runs off and lashes out at Luz, accusing her for humiliating her in front of the Emperor's Coven and embarrassing her at school, while lamenting how much pressure she puts on herself to be the best. However, she is surprised when Luz shows kindness while trying to comfort her and allows her to continue magic training.[25] Despite still acting hostile towards Luz, Amity slowly begins to show a sentimental side and claims she is trying to understand Luz. Eventually, she starts to become fascinated with her desire to be genuine friends, and after a night of peril with her at the library, they make up and bond over their shared love of The Good Witch Azura. This leads Amity to realize that Luz never meant any harm and that she never took the time to get to know her. While she was seemingly excited to join the Emperor's Coven, Odalia had groomed her to join.
In the epilogue of "Watching and Dreaming", Hunter wears a dark blue collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up, light brown pants, an orange apron, and red sneakers with yellow lighting patterns across them. The apron features two pockets, one smaller on the torso and one larger at the waist, along with multiple sewn-on patches; a purple patch with the abomination symbol, a light blue patch with the illusionist symbol, and a yellow patch with the logo of the Emerald Entrails. Hunter seems to be willing to take Amity up on her offer to go with her, but upon seeing the portal key on Amity's neck, he quickly turns on her and tries to grab the key off her.

The five are soon freed by Alador, who was told about the Draining Spell by King. After Odalia reveals she knows about the spell but does not care, a fight breaks out as Kikimora tries to take him. However, most are not trustful of him and suggest trading him for Gus, however, Willow vouches for him after he mentions a breathing exercise. He and the students and staff of Hexside fight the Emperor's Coven and he speaks to Gus after he creates a sphere that traps Adrian and a few scouts in their worst memories and gets Gus to dispel it. After the Emperor's Coven and Adrian leave, he informs the students and staff of the Draining Spell.
Prior to the Day of Unity, the Golden Guard was retired, as Hunter abdicated the Golden Guard role after learning the truth about Belos and his plan. On July 19, 2019, Terrace announced that TJ Hill composed the series' score.[31] On January 10, 2020, Hill said that the score features "interesting and experimental sounds that [he] had a ton of fun cooking up".[32] In the second season, Gravity Falls and Star vs. the Forces of Evil composer Brad Breeck took over as composer. The series also won an award for Children's & Youth Programming at the 2021 Peabody Awards. However, he shows that he isn't completely heartless, as he shows concern for Belos' condition and wants to help. He is also shown to be interested in wild magic, which is something that Belos is against. Hunter, formerly known as the Golden Guard, is a major character in the Disney Channel animated series The Owl House, serving as a cameo character in Season 1, one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Kikimora) of Season 2, and one of the two tritagonists (alongside King Clawthorne) of Season 3.
Character information

In season two, Amity is put upon by Odalia and Alador when they expel her friends from Hexside for being a "bad influence" on her. But when they endager Luz when she tries to get her and her friends back into school, she stands up to Odalia and gets them back into Hexside.[8] She acknowledges that Luz's arrival changed her for the better, and redyes her hair lilac because Odalia forced her to have her hair dyed green to match with her siblings. Willow became his first genuine friend and taught him a breathing technique, which Gus later shares with Hunter.
In "Hunting Palismen", she sabotages Hunter's mission and attempts to kill him. The two appear to be at odds with each other, both trying to prove that they're useful for Emperor Belos. Later, in "Eclipse Lake", Kikimora tries to find Titan's Blood as fast as possible, constantly paranoid about Hunter ruining her plans and stealing her work in the mine tunnels.
Luckily for the Golden Guard, Hexside is holding a palisman adoption day, and in the middle of the night, he uses his ship to steal the palismen, not knowing that Luz is among them. While the Golden Guard is distracted with flying his ship, Luz manages to slap a fire glyph on his back and send him flying off uncontrollably. Though he manages to get back on the ship with his staff and even restrain Luz, the human uses the grime on the ship's floor to draw an ice glyph, and the resulting icicles knock the staff away.
He later discovered that he inherited Flapjack's powers and eventually erected a memorial to honor Flapjack for helping him find his own path. At the Halloween Festival, Hunter, Gus, Amity, Willow, and Luz explore the festival when they come across the haunted hayride where the guide tells them the story of the Wittebane brothers where he learns he was based on Belos' older brother Caleb. He pulls Luz aside and tells her of his sighting and reveals the plan to surprise her with the rebus. As they search, Hunter gets separated from Luz and Belos starts to take control of his body. In a panic, Hunter and the others run towards the portal, unaware that a piece of Belos falls on his shoulder as he runs past the splattered remains of the Emperor.
When the eclipse starts, Hunter and Alador notice that their sigils are glowing, concerning them both. As they get close to their destination, they are approached by Coven Scouts who say their ship is stolen. Hunter, Willow, and Amity fight off the scouts, during which Hunter falls off Flapjack, but is saved by Willow. However, Gus creates an illusion to make Hunter and Luz take on each others' appearance and she grabs Luz instead.
However, when Hunter convinces Amity to untie him due to Kikimora having found them, he turns on Amity, kicking her legs out from under her and leaving her to be captured by the Emperor’s Coven while he runs off to get the Titan's Blood before anyone else can. Amity later finds Hunter in the middle of the dried-up Eclipse Lake, visibly exhausted from fighting his way through Kikimora and her guards. Hunter begins digging a hole which he refers to as his "grave" before lying down in it. Amity attempts to console the distraught Golden Guard, telling him that he too can find people that care about him for who he is, rather than what they want from him, like she did.
